Music journey – my personal experiences
By Raunaq Sachdeva
Music education has always been a purposeful vocation for me. In my journey of my music career of almost a decade, the most invigorating and passionate thing is to create an impact in lives of people through pragmatic advancement and evolution. I started to orient towards songwriting, teaching and production from my school days.
Later, my passion for music turned into a profession after I got the opportunity to teach students in music theory. In my college days, I started writing songs for studios and divergent artists and started performing in live gigs that made my experience more diverse and extensive. Managing all these alongside my academic studies was one of the most engrossing yet exhausting experiences of my life. Though it was both physically and mentally demanding, but my desire to study music further and practice teaching pedagogies never stopped me from facing any obstacles on the way.
Concurrently I effectuated my Level 8 in Rock and Pop diploma from Trinity College London and graduation from Delhi university where I learned important soft skills, Creative writing and advanced English.
All of this helped me in developing special skills to bring change for people. Guiding my students helped me in develop the skills to understand varied personalities. Usage of music and arts helped me in crossing a herculean step towards achievement of philosophical goals and intention.
In my free space, I love to do compositions and getting things worked out for my own creative aspirations and mental health. There are instinctive needs and emotional desire for every living being in this world which a person tries to fulfil – Art and music provided me with the means to to channelize my inner desire and the feelings to express in front of the audience. I certainly believe that the role of arts and music in our society fills a cavity that we all need in order to augment ourselves and our culture and it provides diverse boundless experiences and also further enhance the skills we use in other disciplines and professions.
